Clickity clack goes the bamboo poles,
Boisterous clangs of the tuak bowls,
Singing and dance in tribal colours,
Aramaiti resound amidst paddy flowers.
A years harvest bounty proclaim,
Together we miss, reminisce and exclaim,
See who can drink the most, stand up and walk,
Watch who can reach the end, after so-much talk.
Triumph and might conquered, O Kinabalu's sun,
Wishing all our Sabahans, an amazing Kaamatan!
Don't leave your bowls alone, hear the horbill's cry,
Wishing all Sarawakians, a joyous day of Gawai!
