New trains to watch: ETS

wow, Malaysia has now a new train service called very simply (and unimaginatively) the Electric Train Service (ETS for short)!

A service to enhance commuter's travel between Ipoh and Seremban @ a 6 months promotion of RM30 one way for a 3 hour ride. Currently, active and popular service between KL & Ipoh is on at RM18-RM22 one way for just 2 hours.

Retrofit to be more disable friendly, service began yesterday, Wednesday 11 August 2010. by 2013, KTMB hopes to extend its services further to Padang Besar and Johor Bharu.

yaay...further place to travel using the comfort and personal favourite mode of transportation: trains!!

The ETS will stop in Batu Gajah, Kampar, Tanjung Malim, Kuala Lumpur, KL Sentral. Bandar Tasik Selatan and Nilai on its Ipoh-Seremban route. The journey will begin at 4am from Ipoh and 9.59am from Seremban.

Hope KTMB can keep its punctual timing - the service will be spectacular and a joy to ride by its all familiar screeching and clickaty-clack of iron wheels...

Go choo...choo!!
